There are several records for Elvis Presley's birth.
GENEALOGIST'S NOTE: WE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED THAT WE LIVE IN A DAY OF ID CARDS, MANY RECORDS, AND STANDARDIZED SPELLING AND GRAMMAR, AND MANY DEPARTMENTS AND COMPUTERS KEEPING TRACK OF ALL THESE THINGS. However, in the past decades and centuries, it was NOT UNCOMMON for people to have different spellings of names and places, and estimated dates. This had to do often with:
1. The level of education (self education or formal education) of the individual, or available information, or...
2. The age (memory) of the person providing the details, especially if it wasn't the primary (1st) person providing the facts, or
3. Just plain preference.
4. The person recording the information may have made a mistake or recorded something according to his or her own education level (ex: interpretation of how a word should be spelled).
It was more easy then, than it is now, to change a person's name -- for example, switching to a middle name or nickname.
Other times, people would deliberately lie when giving information. Or the person recording might have made assumptions and filled in the blank.
ALSO, WHEN IT CAME TO VITAL RECORDS, there could be multiple records generated around the time of the events because of different people involved and different departments or locations of records being kept. We see this with Elvis' birth records. Sometimes information relayed will have some variation due to just the way that people report events.
AS THIS HAS TO DO WITH ELVIS: There are some individuals who claim that Elvis is secretly still alive because his tombstone records his middle name as Aaron, instead of Aron as on the original birth certificate. It's not a secret hint to the world. It was just a change made based upon personal preference.

UPDATE: I recently came across a YouTube video about how Gladys and Elvis stayed in a hospital for a few days after birth. The first few minutes of the video are bumpy for the video author, as he repeats himself about 4 times in regards to his location. But hang in there, it does get more interesting once he gets into the nitty gritty details of the subject.
